This is an excellent unissued example with an lovely metal shield attached to field gray wool Heer (Army) cloth backing. The wool is in great shape, with just a bit of fading, and only light mothing. There is no rear paper backing on this example, but not all were issued with them. This example looks to have never fitted to a uniform, and still retains the original antiqued brass finish, with just a bit of oxidation
