Original Prussian M1867 Cuirassier Metal Cavalry Helmet from the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 Category_Flintlock Pistols These were last knowingly usedOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of a Prussian M1867 Krassier Metalhelme, or Cuirassier Metal Helmet. It differed from the earlier Model of 1862 in that it has a metal strip connecting the front and rear visor, though in this example the right side piece has been knocked off. Cuirassiers were a type of Heavy Cavalry, equipped with armor and firearms, and the Prussian groups wore all metal spiked helmets such as this one.
