This is good, service used condition M1 Garand rigid leather scabbard by Nickel and Sons, which is dated 1942. We have seen a few of these before, but never a modified one. The stitching is complete, all rivets present, and the original cocking lever guard is no longer present. The guard was removed and a piece of leather was, extending the length of the scabbard.
