Harris had a rather successful career in the US Navy, having served with Torpedo Squadrons during WWII and on Attack Bombers in the Korean War. Unfortunately his career was cut short of his retirement as he was killed as a result of a plane crash in 1960. His body was unrecoverable though his final resting place is Arlington National Cemetery. The
