It was made for a Japanese officer late in the war. The blade is in good condition with minor specs and spotting, it is still sharp and nick free. Blade length is 27. 5 and overall length 37. 25. Hand forged blade, with one mounting hole in the squared tang. Some temper lines visible. Nice brass tsuba (cross guard) with gold highlighted menuki (grip decoration), and a nice brass Kashira
