VICTORY was Admiral Lord Nelson's Flagship at the Battle of TRAFALGAR that took place in 1805, at which Lord Nelson was killed in Action. The ship is undoubtedly the most famous British Naval Vessel in history. It has since been preserved, in dry Dock in Portsmouth's NAVAL DOCKYARD and is still considered a serving Battleship. Every few years it is restored and certain timbers and Copper cladding is replaced.
