This is a very nice British patriotic ceramic bowl, measuring 6 1 2" across and displaying various pastoral scenes around the exterior. The interior bears a dedication to GENL BURGOYNE, also known as "Gentleman Johnny", on the interior. Dating to the 1770's, once the famous loss at Saratoga Springs occurred he drifted away into history. He never held another military post after that, though he did become an accomplished
